The legionnaires took part in the counteroffensive during the liberation of Kyiv oblast and Kharkiv oblast as well as helped defend Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, and other cities in the east of Ukraine.

The International Legion for the Defence of Ukraine was established following the announcement by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine on 28 February 2022 to all citizens of the world to become part of armed resistance. Since that appeal, tens of thousands of foreign volunteers joined the noble ranks of a new military formation.
As an official part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the International Legion includes volunteers from more than 55 countries.
Every month, dozens of people from all over the world express their desire to join the ranks of the International Legion and defend Ukraine's freedom.
The legionnaires, together with their Ukrainian brothers-in-arms, courageously and fiercely fight the Russian invasion. Our resistance will not stop until Ukraine is liberated.
